Tonya Kopecky is a native of Lake Charles, LA. She has lived in nearby Sulphur, LA, since 2000. She has taught middle and high school English in the Sulphur community since 2008. She earned her master’s degree in Creative Writing from McNeese State University in 2018. She has been married to her loving, supportive husband Tim since 2000. They raised three beautiful children together -- Amber, TJ, and Caleb. In 2018, Amber married Brian Harvey, who has quickly become part of the Kopecky family. Thanks to Amber and Brian, Tim and Tonya have two precious granddaughters to love on.

Tonya has a desire to spread the message of God’s love through fiction stories that teach about His love in a unique way. She recognizes God’s leadership in her own authorship; her stories are His stories first!
